Original Flava’s Seafood boil with dumplings, we’ve taken this recipe to the next level adding a little Caribbean spin on it, with the spices and dumplings, delicious!!!

  • 150- 560g lobster tail
  • 1-4 Pinch Sea salt Black pepper
  • Paprika 1.5-2 litre water
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves halved
  • 2 spring onions halved
  • 6 red potatoes halved
  • 4 corn on the cobs halved
  • 6-8 sprigs of thyme
  • 1 scotch bonnet
  • Pinch Sea salt
  • Black pepper
  • 1tbsp. All purpose seasoning
  • 1 tbspPaprika
  • 1 tbsp.Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp.Fresh parlsey
  • 2 veggie stock cubes
  • 480-560g snow crab legs
  • 2 lemons squeezed & whole
  • Pinch of sea salt Dumplings
  • Muscles (optional)
  • Clams (optional)
  • 150g thick frankfurter sausage Pork/chicken (Sliced)
  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 4 garlic cloves diced
  • 4-6 King prawns/shrimp de-shelled deveined
  • Large plastic food bags

Firstly wash all your seafood, lobster tails, crab legs, prawns, with lemon vinegar and water thoroughly. Devein the prawns and de-shell. Use scissors to cut through top shell of the lobster tails and pull the meat on the top.

Season lobster tails with salt, pepper and paprika and place in the over for 15 mins on 180 degrees.

In a large pot add some water about halfway and bring to a boil. Then add onions, garlic, spring onions , corn, fresh thyme, scotch bonnet and season with salt, black pepper and all purpose seasoning, paprika and garlic powder. Add veggie stock cubes the mix di ting and cook for 15 mins on medium to high, then remove content and set aside.

Now in remaining water add crab legs l, lemons and same seasonings with a likkle parsley and mix! Add dumplings (see website on how to make this) then add muscles, clams and sausages (optional) then cook for 10-12 mins.

Now in a frying pan on high heat add some butter and let it melt, onions garlic and sauté until soft, season with salt, and rest of seasonings. Add in fresh parsley diced. Then mix together to creat a beautiful sauce. Add a likkle water and mix. Now add prawns to The mix and cook until turned pink making sure use base the prawns with the sauce. Use tongs to take our prawns and set aside.

Use a large food bag and place all the content of the seafood boil into the bag then pour in the juice from the prawns inside. Tie a knot on the bag then massage. Pour the bag on to a large foil tray then place the lobster tail and prawns on too followed by the remaining sauce. Now enjoy! Serves 6-8 people.
