Delicious tender boneless curry goat with a golden crusty pastry. This is a great way to do something different with your curry goat. The whole family will love this one, it’s a big get-together kind of dish to keep you wanting more! 

  • 2lb Boneless mutton
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper 
  • 2 tbsp. Curry powder 
  • 1 tsp ginger 
  • 1 tsp dried thyme 
  • 1 tbsp. all purpose seasoning 
  • 4 garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 spring onions chopped
  • 1 onion chopped 
  • 500ml water 
  • 1 large potatoes peeled and chopped
  • 1 carrot chopped
  • 320g Just roll sheet
  • 1 egg or milk for brushing 

1.Firstly season mutton with salt, black pepper, curry powder, ginger, dried thyme, all purpose seasoning, garlic, spring onions, onion and mix well then marinate overnight in fridge. Covered.

2.In a pot add vegetable oil on medium heat then add mutton in and cook until browned, then cook for 1 hour until cooked through. Add in potato and carrots halfway through then simmer until veggies are cooked.

3.Trim off 2/3 inch long strip of pastry from the sides and get your  9 inch oven dish and place around the rim of the dish.

4.Then add mutton followed by the remainder of the pastry (Big large sheet) on top of the mutton, and trim off the excess pastry’s round the edges. Use a fork and imprint in the centre then brush with a whisked egg.

5.Cook in oven for 25 mins at 180 degrees until golden brown on top. 

Serve with veggies or rice.
