  • 900g Beef mince
  • 1 tbsp. jerk seasoning rub
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. ground pimento
  • 1 tsp. browning
  • squeeze of lime
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 tbsp. Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 spring onions chopped
  • 1 tbsp. dried thyme
  • 1 scotch bonnet diced
  • 1 tbsp. black pepper
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 egg

In a mixing bowl add your beef mince along with jerk seasoning, brown sugar, pimento, browning, lime, garlic, onions, apple cider vinegar, spring onions, dried thyme, scotch bonnet, black pepper, salt and 1 egg then mix together then shape in to burger patties. Add to fridge for upto 30 minutes until nice and firm.

now use a griddle pan with some vegetable oil on a medium – high heat then add burgers and cook for upto 5 minutes on each sides or to your preference. make sure you cook the sides of the burgers also and add some garlic cloves to the oil for extra flava! Top tip brush burgers with mint leaves for the perfect aromatic flava. add cheese to the cooked burgers.

Plate your burger by spreading some jerk BBQ sauce on the bun then adding tomatoes, lettuce, and the juicy burger with cheese then finishing with some more jerk bbq sauce then the bun!.
