Juicy, tender, steak strips in a tasty sauce, this is a Caribbean spin on your traditional steak, with the peppered steak cut into strips and spiced with an array of seasonings like pimento, paprika, scotch bonnets and more flavours to get your tastebuds spinning!

  • 1kg steak (cut into strips)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp all purpose seasoning
  • 2 tsp browning or dark soy sauce (plus a likkle extra)
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 scotch bonnet chopped
  • 125ml beef broth or water
  • 1/4 red bell pepper
  • 1/4 green bell pepper
  • 1/4 yellow bell pepper
  • 1/4 orange bell pepper
  • 3 spring onions sliced
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 1 tsp cornflour.

Cut steak into strips about 1cm wide then place in a bowl and season di ting!, salt, pepper, thyme, paprika, all purpose and browning, then marinate overnight or at least an hour.

Place a frying pan over a medium heat and add cooking oil. when di ting hot add onions, garlic, scotch bonnet and fry for 3 minutes until soft. then spoon vegetables into a bowl and set aside.

Dash the beef into your frying pan and brown the steak for a few minutes.

add pimento, beef broth or water, a likkle extra browning for colour and mix together. add in bell peppers, carrots, and sprng onions along with

corn flour then mix well. cook for 20 minutes until steak is cooked
