You’ll never have a better tasting turkey! This recipe is incredible, different to your traditional turkey, It cuts down the cooking time by more than half too. Imagine a sweet spiced fall-off-the bone meat in the centre of your dinner table! This is definitely a crowd pleaser.
- Large Whole turkey (Cut into pieces)
- 200g Honey
- 1 tbsp. sea salt
- 1 tbsp. coarse black pepper
- 1 tbsp. dried thyme
- 1 tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. All purpose seasoning
- 1 tbsp. melted butter
- 1 beaten egg
- 200ml coconut milk
- 200g panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp. curry powder
- 150g cornflour
- Oil for deep frying
- 1 scotch bonnet
- 2 garlic cloves
1.Firstly cut your turkey in pieces, leg and thigh, wing, and breast. Save the neck and back for another day for making stock.
2.Drizzle on some honey, then season with salt, pepper, thyme, garlic, all purpose seasoning. Then add melted butter and mix together.
3.In a small bowl, whisk a beaten egg until smooth then add to your turkey along with coconut milk. Then let it sit for a few minutes.
4.In a separate bowl add panko breadcrumbs, cornflour, curry powder then mix together. Add turkey to the flour mixture and coat well.
5.Deep fry in oil with a scotch bonnet and garlic cloves until golden brown then place on a baking oven tray,
6.Add some more honey on top then cook for 20-30 minutes or until cooked through.
7.Take out then drizzle some more honey on top then enjoy.
