Tender, crispy and highly addictive — you’ve been warned! These Honey Jerk Chicken Tenders are coated in a crispy spiced batter and tossed in a sticky honey jerk BBQ glaze.
Sweet, spicy and packed with Caribbean FLAVA, they’re perfect for parties, game nights or an easy crowd-pleasing meal.

Ingredients
Chicken
640g mini chicken fillets
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp jerk BBQ sauce
400ml coconut milk
Batter
175g plain flour
2 tbsp cornflour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp curry powder
Pinch of sea salt
Pinch of black pepper
Honey Jerk Glaze
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp honey
175ml jerk BBQ sauce
Spring onions and parsley (for garnish)
Oil for deep frying
Method
Season the chicken fillets with sea salt, black pepper, ground allspice, dried thyme, minced garlic, chilli flakes and jerk BBQ sauce.
Pour in the coconut milk and mix well. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
In a separate bowl combine plain flour, cornflour, baking powder, curry powder, salt and black pepper.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and coat each piece in the flour mixture.
Heat oil in a frying pan or deep fryer.
Carefully fry the chicken tenders for 5–6 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove and allow to rest on paper towel.
Make the Honey Jerk Glaze
In a saucepan melt the butter over medium heat.
Add honey and jerk BBQ sauce, whisking until smooth and slightly thickened.
Pour the glaze over the crispy chicken tenders and toss to coat.
